DIVISION OF ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY
A team of board-certified specialists at Mount Sinai's Division of Orthopaedics provides expert and personalized surgical approaches to the bone and joint problems threatening the comfort and function of thousands of patients each year. This highly talented team of professionals, all leaders in their fields, has pioneered new techniques in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of the hands, upper extremities, and spine, as well as joint replacement and general orthopaedic problems. The division also includes physical therapy and rehabilitation with a residency affiliated with the University of Miami; and a podiatric (foot) section featuring a post-doctoral training program supported by Mount Sinai and Barry University. In addition, our specialists offer full-time coverage of the hospital's emergency room, treating a host of orthopaedic traumas and that experience is channeled into the department's ongoing research.
