Chairman and Director's Statement
The Department of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center has a long and distinguished history of training physicians to become surgeons. Our surgical residency program was established in 1954 and has functioned with full RRC accreditation continuously since then.

We have a dedicated teaching faculty, modern facilities, and a teaching hospital environment that provides for excellence in patient care and resident education. At Mount Sinai Medical Center, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and other attributes necessary to reach your highest potential as a physician trained in the specialty of Surgery.
