Dr. Juan Carlos Paredes has been practicing comprehensive adult and geriatric psychiatry and behavioral medicine for more than 25 years at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL.

After earning his Medical Degree at Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, Dr. Paredes completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the top programs in the USA; he continued his training with a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Miami.

Dr. Paredes specializes in Stress Management, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Neuropsychiatry, and Memory disorders.

He treats alcohol, cigarette, and other addictions as well as Sexual dysfunctions in Men; He is also an expert on electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a treatment he offers for severe, resistant depression in patients who do not respond to traditional methods.
