The medical center employs five fulltime psychiatrists to provide a variety of services aimed at preventing future hospitalizations or readmissions. Located on the Mount Sinai’s Miami Beach campus, the Psychiatry Care Center offers appointments to new and follow-up appointments. Transportation to appointments is provided as needed, to ensure coordination of patient care. Electroconvulsive therapy is also a treatment option within the outpatient setting. The goal of the psychiatry team is to create and maintain a quiet, safe, and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth so patients can remain healthy in the community.
Autism Clinic
Mount Sinai’s Adult Autism Clinic offers integrative medical services to adult autistic patients, including psychiatric and primary care services. The clinic strives to follow the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a scientific discipline that applies techniques based on the principles of learning to change behavior of social significance. This helps patients develop socially acceptable behaviors. For more information about the Adult Autism Clinic, click here.
