Dr. Wymer earned his medical degree at University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiology and fellowship in nuclear medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also completed an MRI fellowship in body and musculoskeletal imaging at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Wymer is a board member of the Nuclear Medicine Resident Organization of the American College of Nuclear Medicine. He has authored and contributed to publications and book chapters on topics such as metastatic breast cancer, pulmonary edema, and multimodality imaging. Dr. Wymer has also served as a reviewer for the European Journal of Radiology, Abdominal Radiology, and RadioGraphics.
