Dr. Tarec K. Elajami is a board-certified cardiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Elajami earned his medical degree from Beirut Arab University in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship training at the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Elajami dedicated himself to research at Harvard Medical School, and during his training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he earned the Klausner Award for Excellence in Research. Dr. Elajami has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications focusing on engaging novel resolution pathways to treat coronary artery disease. He has also delivered research presentations at national conferences.

Dr. Elajami is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the National Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Elajami is also a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Elajami is fluent in English and Arabic.
