Furlong, M.D., Internist of the Year Award. He was also honored as a Clinical Vignette Winner multiple times by the Internal Medicine Department at Mount Sinai and the Florida State Chapter. He was also part of the Jeopardy Medical Knowledge team that won the Florida State Championship in 2017.

    Dr. Torres-Ortiz specializes in non-invasive cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. He has contributed to teaching, research, publications, and presentations on topics, such as non-valvular atypical papillary fibroelastomas, coronary artery fistulas, and the assessment (non-invasive) of left ventricular pressure.

    Dr. Torres-Ortiz is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the National Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

    He is fluent in English and Spanish.
