    Before joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Hagau was an attending non-invasive cardiologist at Mason City Clinic’s MercyOne North Iowa Heart and Vascular Institute. She also served as the Co-Chair of the Cardiovascular Department and Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory. During her time at Mason City Clinic, she earned the prestigious MacGregor Award of Excellence for her outstanding service to patients, colleagues, and the community.

    Dr. Hagau is committed to providing personalized, patient-centered care. She uses her specialized training and state-of-the-art treatment methods to foster a safe and compassionate medical experience. Her expertise encompasses preventive cardiology, treatment of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and valvular heart disease. In addition, she has a special clinical interest in the management of heart disease in women.

    She has contributed to teaching, research, publications, and presentations on cardiology-related clinical syndromes, including sleep apnea, isolated abdominal aortitis, Alport syndrome, and atrial septal defects.
