Dr. Seth Gottlieb is the chief of pulmonary medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he provides care to his patients as an attending pulmonary and critical care physician. Dr. Gottlieb joined Mount Sinai in 1995 and since, has been actively involved in the education of medical students, medical residents and now pulmonary fellows.

A native of Brooklyn, Dr. Gottlieb earned his medical degree at State University of New York (SUNY) Brooklyn College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Pittsburgh and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Boston University School of Medicine followed by practice in Massachusetts before joining Mount Sinai.

He was twice recognized as “Attending of the Year” by the medical house staff at Mount Sinai. He has also been active in a medical leadership role at Mount Sinai and served as the president of the medical staff from 2017-2019.

Dr. Gottlieb is board-certified in both pulmonary disease and critical care medicine and is an active member of the American Thoracic Society, the Florida Thoracic Society and is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
