Dr. Sofia Horvath is a clinical and noninvasive cardiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She has obtained board certification in internal medicine and echocardiography.
Dr. Horvath earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Horvath received several awards throughout her training including the Maimonides Award for Compassionate Work and the Resident of the Year Award for Professionalism. During her career, she has also received advanced echocardiography training.
Dr. Horvath is a member of the American Heart Association, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography. She has participated in clinical trials and published research in different areas of cardiovascular disease.
She is fluent in Spanish and Hungarian.
