Joshua A. Lampert, M.D. is an aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon in Miami specializing in surgery of the face, nose, breast and body. Dr. Joshua Lampert is a Manhattan trained plastic and aesthetic surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery – the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties which certifies the full specturm of the specialty of plastic surgery regarding the entire body including the head, neck, trunk and extremities.

Dr. Lampert completed extensive training in plastic and aesthetic surgery. This training included six years of plastic surgery residency in Manhattan at The Mount Sinai Hospital. During his final year in New York, Dr. Lampert served as the solo chief resident in plastic surgery at this historic, 1100 bed hospital. Dr. Lampert also operated his own cosmetic surgery clinic at this prestigious institution, where he trained under some of Park Avenue’s finest aesthetic surgeons, and performed both surgical and non-surgical treatments to rejuvenate the face and body.

After relocating to Miami, Dr. Lampert received further specialty training in aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery. He completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in craniofacial surgery, one of only six in the county to be certified by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. During this time, Dr. Lampert studied under Dr. S. Anthony Wolfe, prior president of the Rhinoplasty Society.

Dr. Lampert has presented and published techniques and video tutorials on rhinoplasty, nasal reconstruction, cosmetics, chest wall reconstruction and pediatric plastic surgery. He has had numerous scientific publications in the field of plastic surgery peer reviewed, and given award winning presentations on patient safety and body contouring after massive weight loss. Dr. Lampert has also presented both nationally and internationally at plastic surgery conferences.

In addition to his surgical training, Dr. Lampert has a unique background in the visual arts and sculpture. At Northern Arizona University, where he graduated at the very top of his class, Dr. Lampert studied with nationally known figurative sculptor Paula Rice. While attending medical school at Rush University in Chicago, Dr. Lampert also attended graduate level sculpting classes at the SAIC, which is consistently ranked among the top top graduate fine arts programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Dr. Lampert presently takes great pride in serving as a clinical assistant professor of surgery with the Division of Plastic Surgery at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and an editorial reviewer for the prestigious journal, Annals of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Lampert also has found great individual reward participating in multiple medical missions to surgically treat the underserved pediatric patient populations of Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.
