Starting January 1, 2021, CMS requires hospitals operating in the US to provide pricing information online about the items and services they provide. The information posted within the Standard Machine Readable File and Shoppable Services File is pursuant to CMS regulation.
Mount Sinai is committed to providing pricing information that will help patients understand their financial responsibility. The information provided herein is not a guarantee of charges or patient responsibility. Patients are encouraged to consult with their health insurance companies to understand policy benefits and the amount that may be due for a particular service.
Negotiated rates on individual cases may vary due to reasons including but not limited to specific combination of services, length of stay, and level of service. Prices displayed by insurance plan are not reflective of patient out-of-pocket costs. If you have insurance, your benefits will ultimately determine the amount you may owe such as deductible, co-pay, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket cost. Mount Sinai provides financial assistance to eligible persons who have healthcare needs and are uninsured, ineligible for a government program or are otherwise unable to pay, for medically necessary care or emergency medical conditions based on their individual financial situation.
You may contact our Financial Counseling department to discuss questions about the information provided or to request a personalized estimate of patient responsibility. Please call 305-396-3219, extension 52092, Monday-Friday from 8AM to 5PM. For other billing or financial assistance information, please click here or call 305-674-2130, Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
