Supporting High-Quality, Compassionate Care for our Community

Now and for Generations to Come

Marc and Nikki Farbstein

Marc and Nikki

Marc, the owner of Premium Digital Control & Automation, and Nikki Farbstein, a former hospitality executive, have centered their philanthropy on expanding access to health care and wellness resources for our South Florida community. Partners of seven years, the couple has found great fulfillment in being able to support Mount Sinai’s Irma and Norman Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center. “There are so many different quotes about what defines the greatest wealth in life. I don’t think I appreciated that much until I met Marc, and understood: it’s health,” says Nikki. “In any organization we are involved in, health and wellness are at the core.” Through their work, the Farbsteins are helping Mount Sinai provide access to exceptional cancer care in South Florida.

The Gift

The Farbsteins have focused their efforts on helping to ensure a patient-centric, high-touch, high-tech experience at the new cancer center. “One of the things we were really impressed with in the initial stages of planning for the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center were the spaces they created in anticipation of new technologies; we could implement these advances as they become available quickly,” Nikki says. “Mount Sinai is consistently thinking about the future of medical care for our community.” The Irma and Norman Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center, set to open in late 2025, will be a beacon of hope and an example of what compassionate, high-quality cancer care can be.

Motivating Mission

While health and wellness are the overarching motivators for their work, cancer is also personal to the Farbsteins. “The statistics show that one in two people will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. We don’t know anyone who hasn’t been affected — my father and grandmother both have had cancer,” Nikki says. “It’s personal for us, as we know it is for many people in the community.” Through their work at Mount Sinai, the Farbsteins are increasing access to the care that our community needs. Marc says, “When you’re diagnosed with cancer, wouldn’t you want to go to a place where you know you’ll receive highly advanced treatments, with the best doctors, recruited from all over the world, who don’t simply treat, but care? We’ve got that here, in Miami Beach.”
