Dr. Samuel Kalb Goldsmit is a neurosurgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center specializing in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgeries. Dr. Kalb earned his medical degree at the Anahuac University School of Medicine in Mexico City, during which time he completed an internship at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Kalb completed his fellowship in minimally invasive spinal surgery and spinal deformity surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He completed his fellowship for complex spine and robotic surgery at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. While there, Dr. Kalb served as Neurosurgery Representative on the Johns Hopkins Spinal Core team.

Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Kalb practiced neurosurgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Kalb has utilized his medical expertise to author many scientific book chapters and give presentations on advanced spinal surgery techniques. He has also published extensive research in scientific journals in the areas of neurosurgery, spinal genetics and spinal disorders.

Dr. Kalb is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and AOSpine. Dr. Kalb is fluent in both English and Spanish.
