Dr. Jennifer Davies is a board-certified general surgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she also serves as the Director of the Wound Healing Center. A South Florida native, Dr. Davies earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency in general surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Davies is a clinical assistant professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Davies is a core faculty member within our general surgery residency training program where she spends her effort teaching the residents the latest surgical techniques and wound care management among many other topics. She is a great role model for our female surgeon trainees.

Dr. Davies’ medical interests include acute care general surgery, surgical healing of complex wounds, limb salvage, hernia repair, surgical endoscopy, gallbladder surgery and laparoscopic access of ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS). She has authored and contributed to publications and presentations on topics related to critical care and burn injuries with additional focus on gastroenterology, laparoscopy surgery, hernia repair and BRCA gene mutations. Dr. Davies is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Board of Wound Management, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational French.
