Our physicians are highly trained specialists in diagnostic radiology. They are all board certified by the American Board of Radiology and have additional training, either fellowship training in various areas of Diagnostic Radiology, or in subspecialties such as musculoskeletal, neurological, breast or nuclear imaging.
Chetan Rajadhyaksha, MD
Chairman of Radiology and Section Chief of Nuclear Imaging
Dr. Chetan Rajadhyaksha received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and medical degree from DY Patil Medical College, Bombay University, Mumbai, India. He completed his internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY and a joint residency program in radiology at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center and nuclear medicine at Harvard Medical School, where he was chief resident. He then came to Florida to complete an MRI fellowship in musculoskeletal, body and neurological imaging at University of Miami, where he also served as junior faculty. He is board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology.
William F. Burke III, MD

Dr. William F. Burke is board certified with expertise in cardiovascular imaging, specifically coronary CTA and cardiovascular MRI. Dr. Burke received his undergraduate and medical doctor degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and Hershey Medical Center. He completed his internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Manhattan and diagnostic radiology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia. After completing a cardiovascular imaging fellowship, he confirmed his expertise in the latest cardiac imaging techniques by being awarded a certificate of Advanced Proficiency in cardiac CT by the American College of Radiology. His participation in numerous ongoing research studies keeps him on the forefront of this new and rapidly evolving field.
Stuart S. Kaplan, MD
Section Chief of Breast Imaging
Dr. Stuart Kaplan, Section Chief of Breast Imaging, brings more than 15 years experience in breast imaging to the hospital’s Comprehensive Breast Center, which is dedicated to detecting, treating and preventing breast cancer. A graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine, he completed his radiology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles and fellowship at the Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ivy Salom, MD
Section Chief of Ultrasound Imaging
Dr. Ivy Salom is a board certified radiologist with a sub-specialty in breast imaging which includes, mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI, as well as, breast interventional procedures. Dr. Salom earned her medical degree in 1997 from the University of Havana School of Medicine in Cuba. She went on to complete her transitional year internship at San Juan City Hospital and a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Salom furthered her post graduate training as a fellow in breast imaging at Mount Sinai’s Comprehensive Breast Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
Vinay Bhatia, MD
Section Chief Neuroradiology, Director of MRI Services
Dr. Vinay Bhatia earned his medical degree in 2010 at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he served as the radiology chief resident, followed by a neuroradiology fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Health in North Carolina.
Viky S. Loescher, MD
Chief, Section of Cardiovascular Imaging
Dr. Viky Loescher is a radiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Loescher earned her medical degree at San Marcos National University, Dean of America, Peru. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and her specialty in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America, American Heart Association, and American Medical Association. She has contributed to many presentations and publications, including Circulation, Research Circulation, Journal of Atrial Fibrillation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and others. Dr. Loescher has also authored chapters on topics that include arterial disorders, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, and cardiac regeneration.
Nirav B. Joshi, MD
Section Chief Musculoskeletal Imaging , Associate Program Director
Dr. Nirav Joshi is a board-certified radiologist. Dr. Joshi earned his medical degree at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at Emory University in Atlanta. He is a member of the American College of Radiology and American Medical Association and has earned several awards, including most recently Attending of the Year at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2022 and Fellow of the Year at Emory University in 2021. Dr. Joshi has also conducted sport medicine research at University of California, Los Angeles, and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and has many presentations and contributed to publications on topics such as knee laxity and stiffness, ACL reconstruction, and the effects of MRIs.
Kitty Daniel, DO, MS, MPH
Medical Student Clerkship Director
Dr. Kitty Daniel is a radiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Daniel earned her medical degree and Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she was President of the American Medical Association (NSU local chapter). She also earned her Master of Science in Applied Anatomy from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Daniel completed her diagnostic radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. Dr. Daniel has contributed to radiology-related research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations. She was recently involved in an Educational RSNA Exhibit that focused on the review of uncommon breast pathologies, and a Quality Improvement Project, where she developed the master manual for the mammography reporting system. She is fluent in English and Hungarian.
Dr. Arijit Chakraborty, DO
Dr. Chakraborty earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, where he was awarded the Evelyn and Harry Indursky Resident of the Year Award in 2023. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Maxwell Frye, MD
Dr. Frye earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, and was appointed Graduate Medical Education (GME) Radiology Residency Representative by fellow co-residents. Dr. Frye then completed a Body MRI mini-fellowship and moonlighted as an attending radiologist. Following his medical training at Mount Sinai, he completed his neuroradiology fellowship training at the University of Miami’s medical program at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Kunal M. Patel, MD, MS
Dr. Kunal Patel is a neuroradiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Patel has been a member of many professional societies such as the American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American Society of Spine Radiology. Dr. Patel has also contributed to publications and abstracts on topics such as Meckel’s diverticulum, normal pressure hydrocephalus, and acute limb ischemia.
Katrina Rabinovich, MD
Dr. Katrina Rabinovich’s specialty is women’s imaging, including mammography, breast MRI and a full range of interventional breast procedures, as well as gynecologic ultrasound and MRI. Dr. Rabinovich received her Medical Degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine, her radiology residency at the University of Tennessee Methodist Hospital and completed her fellowship in women’s imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Vivek Sindhwani, MD
Dr. Sindhwani earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Seth G.S.Medical College & King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. He completed fellowships in pediatric radiology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia, and two fellowships in neuroradiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and at the University of Missouri. He also completed a research fellowship in abdominal imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.
James S. Toby, MD, FRCPC
Dr. James Toby is a board-certified radiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. He earned his medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, completed a general surgery internship at Mount Sinai West and Columbia University, and a residency in Molecular Imaging and Therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY where he served as chief resident. He also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Albany Medical Center, holds advanced certificates of proficiency in Body CT and MRI imaging from the American College of Radiology and has completed training in Cardiac CT through the University of Toronto. Dr. Toby is a member of the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Nuclear Medicine, Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and American College of Radiology and has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
David T. Wymer, MD
Dr. Wymer earned his medical degree at University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiology and fellowship in nuclear medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also completed an MRI fellowship in body and musculoskeletal imaging at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He is a board member of the Nuclear Medicine Resident Organization of the American College of Nuclear Medicine. He has authored and contributed to publications and book chapters on topics such as metastatic breast cancer, pulmonary edema, and multimodality imaging. Dr. Wymer has also served as a reviewer for the European Journal of Radiology, Abdominal Radiology, and RadioGraphics.
