Dr. Andrade is a renowned Pioneer and expert of Radio Frequency Ablation of the Thyroid (RFA) and Laser Ablation of the Thyroid (PLA) with expertise in large thyroid nodules. In the United States, he is the first Physician to perform PLA and one of the first three Physicians to perform RFA in the Country, since 2018.   He is currently the only Physician in the USA to offer both procedures.

Dr. Andrade is a Board Certified Endocrinologist dedicated exclusively to Thyroid Cancer, Thyroid Disease, and Parathyroid and Pituitary Illnesses.

He established his Private Practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center (MSMC) in 1997. In 2009, he became the Founder and President of The Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Pituitary Center for Miami. Located at MSMC, it is the first and only center in Florida dedicated to Thyroid Disease.

Dr. Andrade is also one of a handful of Physicians in the country who performs Alcohol Injection (PEI) for Thyroid Cysts and Thyroglossal Cysts. In the State of Florida, he is one of the few Endocrinologists licensed to perform I-131 treatments.

Dr. Andrade has dedicated part of his practice to education by leading conferences and symposiums from MSMC to Europe. Through his efforts, he has taught and shaped many of the endocrinologists currently working in the area.

Currently, Dr. Andrade is the President of the Miami Endocrine Association and is involved in Benign Thyroid Nodules Research.
