Dr. André Tamayo-Chelala is an internal medicine physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Tamayo-Chelala earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Florida – College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL, where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Tamayo-Chelala obtained his Master of Science in chemistry from Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia. Shortly after, he pursued his postgraduate education in molecular biology at the University of Miami in Miami, FL.

Dr. Tamayo-Chelala possesses over 20 years of experience treating patients and specializes in concierge medicine. Some of his clinical interests include preventative medicine, andropause/hormone replacement, diabetes, and nutrition. He has also authored several publications on the prevention of catheter loss.

Dr. Tamayo-Chelala is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Tamayo-Chelala is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian.
