Prior to joining Mount Sinai Medical Center, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Prior to working in Miami, Dr. Krauthamer worked as an attending Interventional Radiologist at New York Radiology Associates of Brooklyn, New York.

    Dr. Andres Krauthamer is a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist.  Dr. Krauthamer joined the Interventional Radiology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center in January 2022.  Prior to joining Mount Sinai Medical Center, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Prior to working in Miami, Dr. Krauthamer worked as an attending Interventional Radiologist at New York Radiology Associates of Brooklyn, New York.

    Dr. Krauthamer earned his medical degree from Rutgers University Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. After graduating in 2009, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey. He went on to complete his Radiology residency at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC where he distinguished himself as chief resident. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore Maryland in June of 2015.

    Dr. Krauthamer is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Society of Interventional Oncology, and the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Krauthamer is certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

    Dr. Krauthamer has various scientific presentations, journal publications and has contributed to Image Guided Interventions: Expert Radiology Series.  Particular areas of clinical interest include: interventional oncology, venous thromboembolic disease, uterine fibroids, and pelvic congestion syndrome.
