    Dr. De La Cuesta earned her medical degree from Universidad Del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. After residency, she completed fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.

    With a commitment to providing exceptional care and extensive experience leading interdisciplinary medical teams, Dr. De La Cuesta ensures patients receive expert, evidence-based medical treatment. She is devoted to improving outcomes for patients and their families, emphasizing rapid diagnosis and targeted therapy in high-acuity situations.

    Dr. De La Cuesta has contributed to research and publications on various medical topics, including post-surgical ICU care, and has established several protocols to positively impact patient outcomes, ultimately leading to the development of the cardiac ERAS program.

    Dr. De La Cuesta is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases and Critical Care. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Infectious Disease Society of America, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
