    Dr. Elizabeth Kury Perez is a native of Puerto Rico and grew up in the Dominican Republic. She received her medical degree with honors (summa cum laude) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where she served as chief resident in 2008-2009. Dr. Kury Perez also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.

    Board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine, Dr. Kury Perez joined Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2011 as the internal medicine subspecialty coordinator of geriatric medicine. She is involved in the training of both internal medicine residents and medical students in geriatric medicine. Dr. Kury Perez also serves as assistant professor of clinical medicine at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

    Dr. Kury Perez is the recipient of various awards, including the Paul J. Furlong, M.D. Award; the American College of Physicians Chief Resident Award; and the Maimonides Award. She is also an active member of the American Geriatrics Society.

    In her spare time, Dr. Kury Perez enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
