    Dr. Zhou earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA, where he earned the Brinton Prize for graduating with the highest honors in his medical school class. He completed his neurosurgery residency training at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ, where he also completed enfolded fellowships in complex spinal deformity surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery.

    Dr. Zhou specializes in complex brain and spinal surgeries, utilizing cutting-edge techniques and technologies to ensure short-term recovery. He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications on a variety of different medical topics, including cervical spine fractures, craniovertebral junction surgery, subaxial cervical pedicle screw placement, lumbar interbody fusion, colloid cysts, and the adverse effects of perioperative blood transfusion in spine surgery.
