After residency, he completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. During that time, Dr. Vedantam served as Chief Fellow and won the prestigious Cardiology Fellow of the Year Award.

    Dr. Vedantam is committed to providing patients with the latest, evidence-based interventional treatment and procedural options, while integrating cutting-edge technologies into his practice. Dr. Vedantam has contributed to research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations on cardiology-related topics, including Chagas cardiomyopathy, orbital atherectomy, cardiovascular therapeutics, acute myocardial infarction, aortic valve stenosis, and percutaneous coronary intervention. Dr. Vedantam has also completed several Quality Improvement Projects, including implementing order sets to promote patient safety, a crash course dedicated to the student-to-doctor transitional period, and overall improvement of post-hospitalization care.

    Dr. Vedantam is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He also holds additional cardiac imaging board certification from the National Board of Echocardiography and the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions, the American College of Cardiology, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics® (TCT), the American Heart Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American College of Physicians.
