Dr. Kiranmayi Muddasani, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a staff surgeon in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she started working in 2015. Dr. Muddasani specializes in minimally invasive treatment of a wide variety of colon and rectal diseases, such as colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, benign anorectal diseases, fecal incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. She offers both Robotic and Laparoscopic techniques for both colorectal cancers and benign colorectal diseases.

    Dr. Kiranmayi Muddasani, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a staff surgeon in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she started working in 2015. Dr. Muddasani specializes in minimally invasive treatment of a wide variety of colon and rectal diseases, such as colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, benign anorectal diseases, fecal incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. She offers both Robotic and Laparoscopic techniques for both colorectal cancers and benign colorectal diseases.

    Dr. Muddasani earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India. She completed her general surgery residency at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. While in Connecticut, she also completed a fellowship in trauma care with the Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine at Hartford Hospital in Hartford. Dr. Muddasani then completed specialty training in colon and rectal surgery at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

    She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

    Dr. Muddasani is licensed to practice in the state of Florida.

    She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

    Dr. Muddasani is fluent in English and Hindi.
