Dr. Regina Fernandez-Llanio is a board certified internal medicine physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Fernandez-Llanio completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and society with honors and earned her medical degree at Cornell University. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Fernandez-Llanio has travelled extensively. In Brazil, she conducted an epidemiological study of neonatal infections at the Bahia University Hospital, Salvador. She traveled to Mbita, Kenya, in 1996 to visit mobile clinics on the shores of Lake Victoria, where she collaborated with Unicef vaccination programs and provided medical care for adults and children in remote areas of the region only reachable by boat.

She continued her work with underserved populations, practicing medicine in the Cherokee Nation, Wilma Mankiller Clinic in Oklahoma and the Navajo Reservation, Kayenta Indian Health Services Hospital. In 2001, she moved to South Florida and began work with the Miami Beach Community Health Center.

Dr. Fernandez-Llanio delivers comprehensive and holistic care for cancer patients, working closely with oncologists, nutritionists, physical therapists, psychiatrists, and pain specialists.

She is fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
