    Dr. Toney possesses over 20 years of experience in occupational medicine and specializes in fitness-for-duty/return-to-work evaluations, DOT physicals, immigration physicals, OSHA, FMLA, and musculoskeletal injuries and treatment. In his most recent role, before joining Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Toney worked as the Medical Director of Clinical Services Programs and Occupational and Wellness for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

    Dr. Toney is certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Additionally, he is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and board-certified in family medicine.

    Dr. Toney also serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves, where he works as a flight surgeon, ensuring the medical readiness of our Air Force pilots and other service members.
