    Dr. Sumana Narayanan is a Surgical Oncologist at Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center.     Dr. Narayanan earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in General Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she was also Administrative Chief Resident. She subsequently completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY.

    Dr. Narayanan is double Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology by the Society of Surgical Oncology.

    Dr. Narayanan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. She has widely published scientific articles in the fields of surgical oncology, cancer immunology and general surgery. She is also actively engaged in teaching and dedicated to the training of future physicians and surgeons.

    She is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Columbia Division of Surgical Oncology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Assistant Professor of Surgery at Florida International University College of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Surgery at NOVA Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine.
