Dr. Todd Lasner is a neurosurgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he specializes in microsurgery, minimally invasive surgery and stereostatic radiosurgery to treat a number of spinal and cranial diseases.

Dr. Lasner attended Duke University, where he graduated with departmental honors, was awarded summa cum laude and inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Dr. Lasner attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school honor society. He completed his internship in general surgery as well as a residency and a chief residency in neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied under Eugene S. Flamm, M.D. Dr. Lasner is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a fellow of the American Association of Neurosurgeons.

The author of many scientific articles, Dr. Lasner has published extensively on a variety of neurosurgical topics, including novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of brain tumors with genetic manipulation, as well as cerebral aneurysms, blood vessel malformations and stroke.

Dr. Lasner’s clinical interests include the surgical treatment of brain tumors, pituitary disorders, Chiari malformations, aneurysms, blood vessel malformations, stroke, hydrocephalus, spinal tumors and spinal stenosis. He also corrects disc herniations, conducts spinal cord stimulations, and treats traumatic and infectious disorders of the brain and spine.
