Supporting High-Quality, Compassionate Care for our Community

Now and for Generations to Come

David and Debra Deutch

David and Debra Deutch

Born at Mount Sinai Medical Center, David and his wife Debra are continuing his family’s commitment to expanding high quality health care across South Florida. David, the co-founder and President of Pinnacle, a real estate development and construction company, has centered his professional life around providing affordable housing where it’s most needed. “My passion and love for Mount Sinai is in my DNA. I’m a third-generation supporter of the hospital, which has been near and dear to my family since its founding almost 80 years ago,” he says. “I am committed to continuing that legacy, and in doing so, making Mount Sinai the premiere destination for health care in South Florida.”

The Gift

The Deutchs’ support of the Irma and Norman Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center, opening in early 2026, will help augment Mount Sinai’s world-class cancer care. “We know too many people who have cancer diagnosis or have personally been touched by cancer. The goal of the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center is to ensure you will never need to leave our community for the best care, physicians, and protocols.” The new cancer center will provide the latest technologies and offer holistic, personalized health care. “The unique location of the cancer center overlooking Biscayne Bay will be a source of healing and inspiration for our patients. The center is built to truly support physical, mental, and emotional well-being; you can see that in every aspect of the design,” Deutch says.

Motivating Mission

David and Debra Deutch have a long history of philanthropy at Mount Sinai – they were involved with the Skolnick Surgical Tower, which opened in 2019 and serves as one of the most advanced surgical destinations in South Florida. David, who previously served as the President of the medical center’s Foundation and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, believes that philanthropy is integral to his life and our community, saying, “I was born in Miami and giving back to my community in both time and money is everything to me. I am involved in multiple non-profit organizations in leadership and philanthropic roles, and helping to make Miami great is something that is very important to me and Debra.”
