As Founder and Executive Chairman of Steel Partners Holdings and Steel Partners Foundation, Warren’s charitable focus has always been on children. Warren and his family moved to Miami in 2021. As a part of that transition, he centered his philanthropic efforts on Mount Sinai. “When I first moved down here to Miami and was trying to get involved in the community, I was introduced to the good people who were doing a fantastic job at Mount Sinai. My family and I loved that we could stay within our philosophy of putting Kids First,” Warren says.

The Gift

Warren and his foundation’s efforts are focused on putting children first, ensuring that they receive the best care from the first day of their lives onward; the most recent donations have been to benefit the maternity ward, as the center is rebuilding the Labor and Delivery floor and the nursery. The renovations for Mount Sinai’s Labor and Delivery floor are scheduled to commence in April 2025. These renovations will include the integration of state-of-the-art medical equipment, refurbished patient rooms, and a warm, welcoming environment designed to provide the highest level of comfort and care for the families at Mount Sinai. Thanks to Warren’s visionary leadership, Mount Sinai will continue to be able to provide exceptional care for children and their families across South Florida, for generations to come.

Motivating Mission

Children and families have been the focal point of Warren’s philanthropy over the years. He feels that the children of today face new and unique challenges that require attention, commitment, and adaptability — and he is committed to helping the children of our community grow and flourish. “The mission at Steel Partners is ‘Kids First.’ We have created our Steel Coaching System, the Lasorda Way, to formalize Tommy Lasorda’s philosophies and teachings. We are forging a path of success for the next generation by putting kids first, instilling our core values of teamwork, respect, integrity, and commitment, building character, and teaching life lessons through sports,” Warren says. “I’m hoping every family who has a child goes through Mount Sinai’s Labor and Delivery floor and feels safe and in good hands. Whether it’s the children, fathers, or mothers, we want them to feel happy, healthy, and comfortable.”
