IT Corner: Emergency Communication Annual Reminder

Emergency communication is critical for ensuring overall safety, well-being, and effective responsiveness among Mount Sinai employees during crises. By promoting safe and applicable practices, we can mitigate any potential confusion while assuring business continuity. With that in mind, there are multiple platforms for organization-wide communication, including:

  • Everbridge Emergency Alert System (text/email notifications)
  • Cisco phones
  • Red emergency phones
  • Voalte (clinical areas)
  • Teams chat (where available)
  • Sinai Connection/hospital intranet
  • Emergency hotlines

All employees must remain up-to-date on the many communication avenues available and follow department protocols/procedures in case an urgent situation arises. If there is any concern regarding the best way(s) to relay messages, please contact your department manager. Remember, staying connected is a top priority!
