Behavioral Health Program Overview
The Behavioral Health Department plays an essential role in Mount Sinai Medical Center’s mission to provide high quality health care to our diverse community. As part of Mount Sinai’s ongoing commitment, we are proud to be one of the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health programs in South Florida.
Our Comprehensive Approach
Our expert clinical team consists of board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, physician extenders, and a team of licensed counselors, therapists, and social workers. The interdisciplinary team is dedicated to providing a full range of clinical services for our patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, depending on individual needs.
Care for All
Our team works closely with multiple Miami-Dade organizations that reach underserved and homeless populations, as well as community-based outpatient health facilities. These important relationships are part of Mount Sinai’s commitment to serving patients who may otherwise have no access to mental health care. The medical center is a Baker Act receiving facility, and those needing behavioral health services can be seen at our emergency centers in Miami Beach, Aventura, and Hialeah.
