Delivering High-Quality Care for Male Urological Conditions
The Columbia University Division of Urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center has an outstanding team of urologic specialists. Our experienced physicians are experts in diagnosing and treating conditions involving the male urinary tract and reproductive organs. In addition, we have fellowship-trained physicians with expertise in subspecialties focusing on the treatment of all male urologic conditions. When working with patients, we develop comprehensive treatment plans designed to meet their specific needs and goals.
By combining evidence-based medical care and innovative technology, we provide advanced, precision urologic care. In addition, through our expertise in treating the most complex cases, Mount Sinai has become an epicenter for outstanding surgical treatments and a referral hospital for urologists around the country.
Innovative Surgical Techniques at Mount Sinai
Mount Sinai offers a wide range of options to treat male urological conditions, including surgical and non-surgical methods. Our urologists specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic surgeries for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Moreover, we are highly experienced in treating complex cases of urethral reconstruction and implanting urologic prosthetics.
Mount Sinai serves South Florida and the surrounding geographic regions and has achieved some of the highest volumes in treating BPH using UroLift, Rezum, male urethral strictures, adult hypospadias, and urologic prosthetic surgery, which includes inflatable penile implants, male slings, and artificial urethral sphincters (AUS). In addition, our urologists apply both surgical and non-surgical treatments for Peyronie’s disease.
Our Approach
At Mount Sinai, we understand how private and personal male urologic conditions can seem. That’s why we apply a personalized approach to the diagnosis and treatment of male urological conditions, using an individual treatment that best helps him regain normal function quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, our surgeons have unique approaches to penile implants and penile plication surgery for Peyronie’s disease that improve surgical outcomes and patients’ satisfaction with their appearance and sexual function.
