Miami residents for 59 years, Patricia and Dr. Phillip Frost are dedicated supporters of medicine, science, and the arts. Dr. Frost served as the Chairman of Dermatology and currently serves on the Executive Board of Trustees at Mount Sinai Medical Center and led the community in the pharmaceutical business sector; Patricia devoted more than 20 years to public education. “It is important to have world-class facilities in what we consider to be a world-class city. We want to offer the best medical care for all residents and visitors whenever they need it,” Dr. Frost says. In alignment with this goal, the Frosts supported the Skolnick Surgical Tower, which opened in 2019. With breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay, the tower provides South Florida with state-of-the-art medical technology and premiere surgical care.

Eugene Frenkel has been a Florida resident since he was 5 years old, and he fosters a deep love for his community. Eugene, Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Group and Executive Director of the Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation, established the Finker-Frenkel Energy Center on Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Miami Beach campus with the generous support of his parents Dr. Lazar Finker and Dr. Raissa Frenkel.

Since relocating to Miami permanently in 2015, they’ve been deeply involved with Mount Sinai Medical Center. “We have been supporters of Mount Sinai and its mission for decades, and several years ago learned about plans for the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center, which perfectly aligned with our goals of continuing to give back to the community in a meaningful way,” says Phil.
